Better times for home-buyers will take a few years, experts say

We've rapidly gone from a buyers market to a sellers market. When will things return? This is a great article from the LA Times about when they think we'll see a buyers market again. Not to say it still isn't a great time to buy! Interest rates have gone up a bit but they are still low compared to a few years ago. Buyers don't get discouraged, it's still a great time to buy. Shop around for that best APR and lock it in before it goes up more.

It is common knowledge that a great number of homes sell during the spring-buying season. For that reason, many homeowners hold off on putting their homes on the market until then. The question is whether or not that will be a good strategy this year. The other listings that do come out in the spring will represent increased competition to any seller. Do a greater number of homes actually come to the market in the spring as compared to the rest of the year? The  National Association of Realtors  (NAR) recently revealed the months in which most people listed their homes for sale in 2017.
